BluWāv's hybrid drive system has also been engineered for marine applications where it provides the ability to maximize package flexibility by
reducing the number of required internal combustion engines and allowing them to be physically located away from the drive system. Further, the
electric drive system, especially on large sailing vessels, provides a long range, silent operating mode.
The marine system is also capable of helping a sailing vessel maintain a constant speed through switching from motoring to generating based on a speed
control loop in the motor drive electronics. With the correct conditions, the drive system can actually recharge the on-board energy storage system.
